“Mirror Wall” by Jeppe Hein. A huge mirror is mounted onto a wall. When visitors enter the space the mirror starts moving subtly and wavelike. Visitors facing the mirror will be irritated by the vibrating reflection of themselves and their surrounding.

A piece of paper is divided by hand into an even number of pieces and then reassembled.
A photograph of this finished composition is then printed and divided again.
This makes the impossible possible, tearing the now included empty spaces that make up the tears in the paper. This feedback division process is repeated while the number of imprecise manual divisions gradually increase. -



Lauren Semivan is a contemporary photographer whose Observatory series is something else – dark, alchemic, almost theatrical. She stages her photographs using a compilation of objects, drawings and the human presence, working and reworking the image to create her own elegant narrative.
